Cogeneration Plant Expansion and Biogas Conversion

A major player in the cogeneration sector engaged us for a high-impact transformation project: to double the plant’s production capacity while converting it to biogas, all without interrupting the operation of the existing system. The complexity of the initiative lay in executing the entire integration in parallel, ensuring seamless continuity and performance throughout. We took full responsibility for the construction and integration of the new plant section, coordinating all electrical, mechanical, and software installations. Our team ensured that the new infrastructure was connected to the existing plant without requiring any downtime. The two systems were electronically synchronized, enabling real-time signal and data exchange across both setups. Once the new section was operational, we migrated the legacy plant into a unified supervisory system, allowing centralized control of all components via a single interface. This not only streamlined operations but also improved overall plant visibility and responsiveness. To complete the project, we implemented a gas upgrading and liquefaction unit, allowing the biogas to be converted into liquid form for tanker transport. This final step increased the logistical flexibility and profitability of the operation by unlocking new distribution channels and market opportunities. The result is a modern, high-output cogeneration facility fully adapted for biogas production, scalable, resilient, and optimized for long-term energy monetization.
